When coming from Interstate 35:

1.      Take the Exit 330 for HWY 6/340 loop (Robinson/Meridian) and keep to the right, going north, towards Meridian. (You will go past the new Central Texas Marketplace Shopping Center.)

2.      Continue out HWY 6 north for 14 miles. (You will cross over the twin bridges at Lake Waco and be heading towards Valley Mills. Keep going straight, past a stoplight at the HWY 185 China Spring/Crawford cutoff. You will also go past Baylor Camp Road and Canyon Oaks Road.)

3.      Turn right on Chapman Road (where there is a horse farm with a white pipe fence) and go 0.9 miles (until it dead ends). Please watch out for deer crossing the road.

4.      Turn right onto Bosque Ridge Road (which almost immediately becomes Oak Ridge Road if you keep going straight.) Follow this road (Oak Ridge) for 0.3 miles and there you are!

5.      Turn right onto the driveway with the large stone showing the words: "BEAR CREEK".  You will cross a small bridge over a creek and see Bear Creek Guest House straight ahead, up on a hill. It is gray, with a red front door and has a front porch with a swing. Your hosts, Linda and Warren Johnson, live in the house behind it. Our friendly dog, Sox (a medium sized black Australian Shepard, with white feet) will most likely be there to welcome you.

When coming from Crawford (intersection of State Highway 317 and FM 185):

1.      Take FM 185 east. (You will immediately cross over some railroad tracks and the Tonkawa Creek Bridge.)

2.      Continue out FM 185 for 9.4 miles, until you reach the State Highway 6 and FM 185 intersection. (There will be a stoplight at this intersection.)

3.      Turn left on to State Highway 6 north and proceed 2.8 miles. You will pass Baylor Camp Road and Canyon Oaks Road. The next right turn, after Canyon Oaks, will be Chapman Road (approximately half a mile).

4.      Turn right on Chapman Road (You will see our sign for "BEAR CREEK GUEST HOUSE" on the pipe fence and go 0.9 miles (until it dead ends).

5.      Turn right onto Bosque Ridge Road (which almost immediately becomes Oak Ridge Road if you keep going straight.) Follow this road (Oak Ridge Road) for 0.3 miles.

6.      Turn right onto the asphalt driveway with the large rock showing the words: "BEAR CREEK". You will cross a creek and see Bear Creek Guest House straight ahead, up on a hill. It is gray, with a red front door and has a front porch with a swing. (Your hosts, Linda and Warren Johnson, live in the house behind it.)

When coming from Clifton/Valley Mills on State Highway 6:

1.      From the Dairy Queen in Valley Mills, proceed east on State Highway 6, toward Waco, for 7.5 miles.

2.      As you climb a long gentle hill, you will see a road sign that says "Bosque Ridge Road".

3.      Turn left onto Bosque Ridge Road and proceed straight 1.2 miles. At 9 tenths of a mile Bosque Ridge Road will turn left. Keep going straight for the last 3 tenths of a mile. This road will be Oak Ridge Road.

4.      Turn right onto the asphalt driveway with the large rock showing the words "BEAR CREEK".  You will cross a creek and see Bear Creek Guest House straight ahead, up the hill. It is painted gray, with a red front door and has a front porch with a swing. (Your hosts, Linda and Warren Johnson, live in the house behind it.)
